  1. He used crude refracting telescope
  2. Initial version magnification was 8x, later version magnification was 20x.
  3. His telescope had a convex objective lens and a concave eyepiece in a long tube.
  4. The concave lens served as the ocular lens.
  5. The lens are situated on either side of a tube such that focal point of the ocular lens is same as the focal point for the objective lens.
