Solution

Color blindness:

Color blindness is the reduced ability to see colors or to distinguish between certain colors.

Color blindness is more common in men than in women because:

  1. Color blindness is more common in men than in women because the genes responsible for color blindness are located on the X chromosomes. Such a defect is due to recessive genes, which occur on the ‘X’ chromosome.
  2. In males, only one defective X chromosome is enough to cause color blindness, whereas, in females, two defective X chromosomes are required to cause color blindness.
