Column I gives electrical circuits in steady state. Column II gives some statements regarding the circuits. Match appropriately (assume ammeter and voltmeter to be ideal)
A – PQR, B – PRS, C – PQR, D – QR
For ideal voltmeter, its resistance is infinite and so there is no current in the branch in which it connected. Also in steady state condition, current does not pass through the branch containing capacitor.
A–i=2.525=0.1 A And V=2.5–0.1×5=2V capacitor is in parallel to this pd
B – There is no current in R’ and the pd across the capacitor is 2V.
C – Applying KVL across the ammeter : 0 + 1 – 10i = 2 or I = 0.1A.
D – Apply KVL along the circle I=7×27×20=0.1 A; pd across the capacitor is zero. And no current passes through the resistance.
