Manganin wire is used in resistance box because of its virtually zero temperature coefficient of resistance, which means its resistance does not fluctuate with slight change in temperature.
Fuse wire is made up of tin-lead alloy. This alloy melts with little rise of temperature. If for some reason excess current passes through a circuit, the fuse wire melts because of heat generated in the process.
Tungsten wire is used in bulb as tungsten has very high resistance and when current passes through it, it glows because of heat generation.
Glass is an example of insulator. In normal condition electricity does not flow through glass.
