Area of cross – section = 0.1 $c m^{2}$
Mass = 10.2 g
Density of Hg = 13.6 g/cc
Length of the column = ?
We know that, $D e n s i t y = \frac{M a s s}{V o l u m e}$
$V o l u m e = A r e a \times l e n g t h$
$T h u s, 13.6 = \frac{10.2}{0.1 \times L} \Rightarrow L = 7.5 c m$
