Combustion of fossil fuels:

1. The combustion of fossil fuel that is obtained from dead and decayed plants and animals causes severe air pollution resulting in the release of toxic gases like sulphur and nitrogen oxides, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, etc.
2. These gases result in causing adverse effects on humans as well as on plants.

Two alternative ways to generate energy, alternative to fossil fuels:

1. Solar energy:

• In solar energy, the sun is the source of energy and energy is generated with the help of solar panels without causing pollution.

2. Wind energy:

• In wind energy, the wind is the source of energy and the energy is generated with the help of the rotation of the wind turbines without causing pollution.
