(a) It's easy to catch a table tennis ball than a cricket ball even they are moving with the same velocity.
(b) Action and reaction forces are always equal and opposite then why they do not cancel out?

$\left(a\right)$Both table tennis ball and cricket ball apply impulsive force. That is depend upon the change of momentum per unit time and momentum $\alpha m\times v$.

Mass of table tennis ball is very less compare to the cricket ball. That's why tennis ball apply less force on the hand.

$\left(b\right)$According to Newton third law action and reaction force are same but they do not chancel out because they act on different body or object.
