Equivalent can be written as :
I¨θ+C1˙θ+KT=0...(i)

Cl21˙θ+I˙θ+Kl22θ+Kθθ=0 ...(ii)

Comparing equations (i) and (ii)
The damping coefficient in the vibration equation,

CT=Cl21=500(0.4)2=0.16×500

=80Nms/rad.
