$R a t i o 1 = 5 : 3$
$R a t i o 2 = 10 : 7$
Now,
$5 \times 7 = 35$ and $10 \times 3 = 30$
For comparing two ratios $a : b$ and $c : d$ , if $a d > b c$ , then $a : b > b : c$
