Herbs, Shrubs and trees:

  1. Plants are categorized into various types on the basis of the characteristics of the stem such as herbs, shrubs, creepers, climbers and trees.
  2. The plants which are usually short, green and having tender stems are known as herbs.
  3. The plants which bear branches near the base(ground) of the stem are known as shrubs.
