In molecule, F^BrO bond angle is less than O^BrO bond angle.
F^BrO<O^BrO
F^BrO bond angle is 1030C whereas O^BrO bond angle is 1150C. This is in accordance with Bent's rule. Since F is more electronegative, the bond pair of electrons is more towards F than towards O. hence, the bond pair of electrons of BrF bond experiences less repulsion than the bond pair of electrons of BrO bond.
