Loudness is a measure of the compression formed in the Ear drums. If a wave is loud, it means it has a large amplitude.

On the other hand, intensity is the amount of disturbance reaching our ears. It is the amount of sound energy passing each
second through a unit area.

Hence, they are not similar.
