We have, $16 : 21 = \frac{16}{21} a n d 18 : 25 = \frac{18}{25}$
Now, LCM of denominators $21 a n d 25 i s 525$
So, $\frac{16}{21} = \frac{16 \times 25}{21 \times 25} = \frac{400}{525} a n d \frac{18}{25} = \frac{18 \times 21}{25 \times 21} = \frac{378}{525}$
Clearly, $400 > 378$
So, $\frac{400}{525} > \frac{378}{525}$ ⇒ $\frac{16}{21} > \frac{18}{25}$
Hence, $16 : 21 > 18 : 25$ .
