  • Metals have free electrons so they are good conductors of heat and electricity.
  • While non-metals do not contain any free electrons so they are non-conductors of heat and electricity.
  • Examples of metals are copper Cu, aluminum Al, etc.
  • And Examples of non-metals are Carbon C, Nitrogen N, Hydrogen H, etc.

Hence, metals are conducting while nonmetals are non-conducting.
