Step 2 Find the equivalent fraction of both fractional numbers with denominator $6$

For the first fraction , since $2\times 3$ $=6$,

$\frac{1}{2}=\frac{1\times 3}{2\times 3}=\frac{3}{6}$

Likewise ,for the second fraction , since $6\times 1=6$

$\frac{7}{6}\times \frac{1}{1}=\frac{7}{6}$

Now the denominators are same, the fraction with the bigger numerator is the greater fraction.
