Solution

The correct options are
A Distantly related species growing in the same habitat
C Closely related species growing in different niches
The resources that animals mainly compete for are food, water, space to live and for access to mates. Competition is most severe between two closely related species growing in the same habitat, and leads to competitive exclusion of one of the species. Conversely if the species are distantly related, it is unlikely that they compete for all the same resources, and thus will not exclude each other. If the two species are closely related but occupy different niche, then they co-exist by apportioning resources. And there is no competition between two species that are not in the same habitat, regardless of whether they are closely related or distantly related.
