Al+6HCl

Open in App
Solution

The metals above hydrogen in the reactivity series have the potency to be attacked by acids. As a result of the reaction, hydrogen gas is liberated and the corresponding salts are formed.

Aluminium (Al) metal reacts with Hydrochloric acid (HCl) and displays a displacement reaction in which Hydrogen from HCl gets displaced by Aluminium and forms Aluminium chloride AlCl3.

The complete and balanced equation is given as:

2Als+6HClaq2AlCl3aq+3H2gAluminiumHydrochloricAluminiumHydrogengasacidchloride
