●Sodium being a metal reacts with oxygen to form metallic oxide i.e., sodium oxide (P)
● Sulphur (non-metal) reacts with oxygen to form non-metallic oxide i.e., sulphur dioxide (Q)
● Sodium oxide reacts with water to form sodium hydroxide (R) that is basic in nature. Thus, it turns the red litmus solution to blue (A) and does not change the colour of the blue litmus solution (B).
● Sulphur dioxide reacts with water to form sulphurous acid (S) which turns the blue litmus solution to red (D) and does not change the colour of the red litmus solution (C).
