We know that 71 % of the earth’s surface is covered with water. Water exists in three forms, they are solid, liquid and gas or vapour. The solid form of water is snow, ice which is present in cold regions like mountain tops, polar regions etc. The liquid form of water is present in rivers, oceans, lakes, groundwater, wells etc. The gaseous or vapour form of water is present in the atmosphere as water vapour.
