We know that 71 % of the earth’s surface is covered with water. Water exists in three forms, solid, liquid and gaseous (vapour). The solid form of water is snow, ice which is present in cold regions like mountain tops, polar regions, etc. The liquid form of water is present in rivers, oceans, lakes, wells, etc. The gaseous or vapour form of water is present in the atmosphere as water vapour.
