Benzene diazonium chloride is pretty unstable and on reaction with ethanol, readily liberates $N_{2}$ and forms Benzene, whereas ethanol ( $C_{2} H_{5} O H$ ) gets oxidised to acetaldehyde ( $C H_{3} C H O$ ) along with the formation of $H C l$ .
