Hydrohalogenation takes place according to Markovnikov's rule. According to this rule the negative part of the adding molecule(chloride ion) gets attached to that carbon atom which possesses lesser number of hydrogen atoms.
In other words, the carbon atom that is more alkylated.
This is because 2 carbocation is more stable than 1 carbocation due to inductive effect (electron donating) of alkyl groups attached to the carbon atom.
