Compound A of molecular formula C3H6O does not reduce not reduce Tollen's reagent nod Fehling's solution. Compound A undergoes Clemmensen reduction to give compound B of molecular formula C3H8. Compound A in the presence of Conc. H2SO4 condenses is give air aromatic compound C of molecular formula C9H12.
Identify B and C. Explain the reactions.

C3H6O must be ketone(acetone) because Tollen's reagent and Fehling's reagents are not reducing it.
Acetone on reaction with distilled water and concentrated H2SO4 gives Mesitylene (C)C9H12 which is aromatic.
