Computers need electricity to share data. Do our nerves also need electricity or something like that to send instructions to brain?

As computers need electricity fro data sharing, the data sharing in our body is also taking place neuron firing. Each neurons share datas through a minute electricity which will be fired between each of them. Neurons are the nerve cell which does this job.
