Concentrated hydrochloric acid is corrosive in nature because it has the tendency of damaging the surface irreversibly with which it come in contact. Exposure of eyes and skin to this acid will destroy the corresponding tissues completely. Eye, if exposed to this acid will get damaged heavily and might result in blindness also and causes blisters on the skin.
