Solution

The correct options are
A Net force acting on the skater is 32.3 N.
B Acceleration of the skater is 0.23 m/s2.
D Kinetic friction experienced by skater is 13 N.
Net force acting on the skater,
Fnet=F21+F22=(26.4)2+(18.6)2=32.3 N
Reaction on skater, N=mg=65×10=650 N
Static friction, fs=μsN=0.04×650=23 N
Since Fnet>fs, Therefore skater slides along the direction of resultant.
Kinetic friction, fk=μkN=0.02×650=13 N
Acceleration of the skater, a=Fnetfkm=32.31362=0.23 m/s2
