The correct option is C $g_{m} \approx g_{m_{1}}$

$g_{m_{1}} = \frac{I_{1}}{V_{i}}$

$Now, I_{o} = \frac{I_{1}}{α} \approx I_{1}$

$∴ g_{m} = \frac{I_{o}}{V_{i}} \approx \frac{I_{1}}{V_{i}} = g_{m_{1}}$
