Solution

The correct option is D 36
Option (C) is correct.

(A) : When Fe(CN)2 solution is treated with KCN solution, K4[Fe(CN)6] complex is formed. It dissociates to give K+ ion and [Fe(CN)6]2 ions and hence does not give tests of Fe2+ and CN.

(B) : When K2SO4 solution is treated with Al2(SO4)3 solution, K2SO4.Al2(SO4)324H2O double salt is formed. It gives positive tests of K+,Al3+ and SO24.

EAN of iron formed in (A), K4[Fe(CN)6] is =262+12=36
