The transistors M1 and M2 are in saturation have VT=1V, and the process transconductors parameter
k′a=μnCox=100μA/V2. If (WL)1=1.5(WL)2=20 and λ=0, then the value of voltage V is equal to

Solution
The correct option is D -1.6 V Ans : (b)
Assuming transistors M1 and M2 are in saturation region.
Thus, VGS1=VGS2=−Vx and V=V1−V2 but ID1ID2=(WL)1(WL)2=1.5...(i) and ID1+ID2=200μA...(ii)
Thus from (i) and (ii), we get, ∴ID1=120μA,ID2=80μA now, V1=5−40×103×120×10−6=0.2V V2=5−40×103×80×10−6=1.8V ∴V=0.2−1.8V=−1.6V
