Hence, ∠2 = 70∘
We know that ∠C+∠1+∠2=180∘
∠x+∠y+∠C=180∘ [Angle sum property of the triangle]
Substiuting the given values, we have,
∠1 = 80∘
∠2 = 70∘
∴ ∠C=180∘ - [∠1+∠2]
∠C=180∘ - [80∘+70∘]
∠C=30∘
According to the question:-
x = 10∘+y
also,∠C+∠x+∠y=180∘...........................................[angle sum property of the triangle]
∴30∘+10∘+∠y+∠y=180∘
30∘+10∘+2∠y=180∘
∴∠y=70∘
and ∠x=10∘+70∘
∴∠x=80∘
