Analogous organs have different origin but same function. Tendrils are threadlike appendage found in climbing plants. They grow in a spiral form winding around a host for support. Leaf tendril and stem tendril are a pair of analogous organs. Leaf tendril is a modification of leaf whereas stem tendril is modification of stem. Both these organs have different origins but perform similar function of clinging on to some support for growth.
