Solution

The correct option is B Only 2
Disease is defined as any condition where the functioning of our body or parts of our body are adversely affected.
Based on whether the disease can spread or not, there are two types of diseases:
1.Infectious diseases : These are diseases that spread from one person to another and are communicable diseases caused by microorganisms called pathogens such as bacteria, protozoans, viruses, etc. Examples: cholera, chickenpox, malaria.
2.Non-infectious diseases : They do not spread to others and they are restricted within a person who has contracted them. These diseases may or may not be caused by pathogens, but other factors such as age, nutritional deficiency, the gender of an individual, and lifestyle influence the disease. Examples: diabetes, cancer, asthma, etc.
Bacillary dysentery is caused by Shigella bacteria and the disease is called shigellosis.
The bacteria when present in the human gut causes an intestinal infection resulting in bloody diarrhea. It spreads through contaminated food and water.

Diabetes is a condition where the blood sugar level is increased due to various reasons like less production of insulin hormone or the problems associated with glucose transporter proteins. It is not an infectious disease.
