Global warming basically refers to warming of earth because of increased trapping of terrestrial radiation by the greenhouse gases present in the atmosphere due to their increased concentration. Due to burning of fossil fuels, concentration of greenhouse gases, especially carbon dioxide, has been increasing in the atmosphere.
