On 14th August, Mahabat Khan announced that Junagadh would be a part of Pakistan. Pakistan accepted the accession in September 1947 to put pressure on India with respect to J&K.
The Diwan of Junagadh was Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto. Mahabat Khan, who was the ruler, left the place in panic.
