The incoming radiation from the Sun onto the earth is mainly in the form of visible sunlight, while a smaller percentage can also be in higher energy ultraviolet range and also lower energy infrared range. Much of the ultraviolet radiation is absorbed by the ozone layer in the stratosphere.
The radiation emitted by earth is in the infrared range as the temperature of earth is much cooler than Sun and thus the emitted radiation is lower in energy than the incoming one.
