Silver salts are mostly sensitive to light.
On exposing any silver salt to the atmosphere it gets oxidised to silver oxide, that is the reason for grey colour of the salt. Silver compounds have the tendency of decomposing in the presence of light.
They decompose to give silver metal which eventually forms the colours in the presence of light.
