  • Akash Missile is a Surface-to-air missile. It is Capable of destroying aerial targets such as fighter jets, ballistic missiles, cruise missiles. It has a Range – 25 KM (Short range missile). Recently it was test fired with indigenous radio frequency seeker.
  • Astra is a Beyond visual range air-to-air missile. It can be mounted on a variety of aircrafts including Su-30, MiG-29, LCA Tejas. It is capable of targeting targets at supersonic speeds. Astra can be launched from altitudes of up to 20KM. It has a Range- 60 KM.
  • Both missiles- Astra and Akash uses indigenous radio frequency seeker.
