Parasites may have multiple intermediate hosts to complete its life cycle e.g. human liver fluke. If the parasite lives outside the host body, it is called an ectoparasite. If the parasite lives inside the host body, it is called an endoparasite. Endoparasites have a more complex life cycle because of extreme specialisation. Brood parasitism is found in Koel birds. It lays eggs in the nest of crows and the eggs of Koel have evolved to resemble the eggs of crows.
