(ii) Objective: Provide insurance coverage and financial support to the farmers in the event of the failure of any of the notified crops as a result of natural calamities, pests and disease and to help to stabilised farm incomes particularly in disaster.
(iii) The scheme is available to all the farmers- both loanee and non-loanee irrespective of their size of holdings.
