(iii) Average speed is greater than the average velocity if a body is moving in a straight line without reversing its directions.
(iv) When a body moves with constant velocity, the average velocity is zero.

Solution

The correct option is D F T F F
(i) : Net displacement of object moving a uniform circular motion is zero in one revolution but distance covered by it is non zero. Hence statement (i) is not correct.
(ii) : Statement (ii) is correct that average speed is same as instantaneous speed in case if the body moves with uniform speed.
(iii) : If the body is moving in a straight line without reversing its direction, then displacement of body is equal to distance covered by it in the same time. Hence, average speed of body is equal to average velocity of body.
So statement (iii) is false.
(iv) : When a body moves with a constant velocity, this means the body is moving in a straight line and thus displacement of object is non zero. Hence average velocity of object is also non zero.
So statement (iv) is false.
Hence, correct option is option D.
