Qutub Minar comprises several superposed flanged and cylindrical shafts, separated by balconies supported by Muqarnas corbels and is made of fluted red sandstone and marble. It was constructed by Ala-ud-din Khilji. Quwwat-ul-Islam mosque was built by Qutb-ud-din Aibak and it features the earliest-surviving true dome in India. It consists of the courtyard surrounded by the pillared cloisters on the 3 sides.
