Solution

The correct option is B

1, 2 and 4 only

The revolt at Meerut and capture of Delhi was the precursor to a widespread mutiny by the sepoys and rebellion all over North India. As well as central and Western India. South India remained Quiet and Bengal and Punjab were only marginally affected. Therefore though there was not wide spread in Eastern India so it was totally unaffected.

Even before the Meerut incident, there were rumblings of resentment in various cantonments of army. The 19th Native Infantry at Berhampur. Which refused to use newly introduced Enfield rifle, was disbanded in March 1957. There are many such examples which provided fuel to ignite revolt of 1857. Hence statement 2 is incorrect.

Bahadur Shah was declared Shahenshah-e-Hindustan and statement 3rd is correctly stated.
