Question

Consider the following two equations
(A) L=I ω

(B) dLdt=Γ

In noninertial frames
(a) both A and B are true
(b) A is true but B is false
(c) B is true but A is false
(d) both A and B are false.

Solution

(b) A is true but B is false.

In non-inertial frames, dLdt=Γtotal
Here, Γtotal is is the total torque on the system due to all the external forces acting on the system. So, equation (B) is not true as in non-inertial frames, pseudo force must be applied to study the motion of the object.
