The correct option is D a clockwise current-pulse and then an anticlockwise current -pulse.
When the switch is closed, current will flow from positive to negative terminal. Due to this current, an outward magnetic field will be produced in the loop. This will induce current in the loop.

According to Lenz's law, the induced current is such that it opposes the increase in outward magnetic field through the loop. So, induced current will be in the clockwise direction.

Similarly, when the circuit is opened, the outward magnetic field through the loop decreases. So, induced current will be in the anticlockwise direction.

Hence, when the switch is closed, clockwise current flows in the circuit and when the switch is opened, anticlockwise current flows.

So, option (D) is the correct answer.
