Steps of Construction
1. Draw a line segment AB =12 cm
2. With A as centre and a radius more than half, draw an arcs at C and D
3. With B as centre and with same radius, draw arcs to cut the previous arcs at C and D
4. Join C to D line cut AB at point E .
5. CD is the required perpendicular to the line segment AB
