Construct a quadrilateral ABCD in which AB = 5.5 cm, AD = 4.4 cm, CD = 6.5 cm, AC = 6.5 cm, and BD = 7.1 cm. [4 MARKS]

Construction : 3 Marks

Steps of construction :

1. Draw a line segment AC of length 6.5 cm.
2. With A as centre and radius 4.4 cm draw an arc.
3. With C as centre and radius 6.5 cm draw another arc intersecting the first arc at D.
4. With A as centre and radius 5.5 cm draw an arc on the side of AC opposite to that of D.
5. With D ad centre and radius 7.1 cm draw another arc intersecting the first arc at B.
6. Join AD, CD, AB and CB.
7. ABCD is the required quadrilateral.
