Question

Construct a quadrilateral ABCD, when:
BC=7.5 cm, AC=5.8 cm, AD=3.6 cm,
CD=4.2 cm and A=120.

Solution

1. Draw AC=5.8cm
2. Then draw an arc taking A as centre and 3.6 cm as radius. Draw another arc with C as centre and 4.2cm as radius cutting the previous arc at D. Then join A with D and C with D.
3. Construct an angle 120o at A , that is DAX=120o
4. Now, draw an arc taking C as centre and 7.5cmas radius, cutting the ray AX at B.
5. Join ABCD is the required quadrilateral.
