Construct a right angle ABC, right angled at B, when hypotenuse CA=8 cm and AB=BC.

Let AB=BC=a
Since ABC is a right angled triangle ,

a2+a2=8.0

2a=8.0

a=5.6 cm
1. Draw the base side BC=5.6 cm

2. At point B, draw an angle of 90

3. At point C, draw an arc of AC=8.0 cm intersecting the arm of the angle 90 and the arc drawn in step 2

4. Name the point of intersection, as A

5. ABC is the required triangle.
