Construct a square whose diagonal is equal to 9.8cm. What is the measure of its side ?

We know that in square all sides are equal. Diagonals are also equal and perpendicularly bisect each other.
Draw a line segment AC=9.8cm
Draw a perpendicular bisector XY meets AC at point O.
Take O as center with radius 4.9cm and cut off OD and OB.
Join AB,BC,CD and AD.
ABCD is required square.
Now measure the length of AB.
We get, AB=6.9cm
Measure of sides is 6.9cm
