Construct a triangle ABC in which BC is 6 cm, B is 70 and AB+AC=14cm by using method of perpendicular bisector. [4 Marks]

Construction : 3 Marks

Steps:
1. Draw line segment BC of length 6 cm using ruler. From B using protractor, draw a ray BX which makes an angle of 70 with BC.
2. Cut a line segment BD equal to AB+AC=14 cm from ray BX.
3. Join CD. Construct perpendicular bisector PQ for CD. Let PQ meet BD at A.
4. Join AC. Triangle ABC is the required triangle.
